Elon Musk's Tesla will bring its Cybercab robotaxi and Optimus Gen 2 humanoid robot to the Paris auto show this month, putting autonomous transport and robotics alongside the electric vehicles that established its business.
The show organizer's original announcement, published September 30 and based on the manufacturer's official press release, confirms the lineup for the October 12–18 event at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. The company's display will occupy stand C25 in Hall 7.1.
The presentation reaches beyond a conventional vehicle launch. Visitors are being offered a view of products spanning passenger transport, household energy and humanoid robotics, with the Model Y SUV and Model 3 sedan also on display.
Cybercab and Optimus share the spotlight
Cybercab will be exhibited alongside the second-generation Optimus robot, giving visitors a chance to see two projects that extend the company's ambitions beyond selling cars to individual drivers.
The robotaxi is a vehicle designed around autonomous passenger transport. Optimus addresses a different application: a humanoid machine intended to carry out physical work. Their inclusion in the same showcase connects the company's mobility plans with its effort to bring artificial intelligence into everyday tasks.
On its AI and robotics page, the manufacturer describes the Optimus goal:
Create a general purpose, bi-pedal, autonomous humanoid robot capable of performing unsafe, repetitive or boring tasks.
The same page identifies balance, navigation, perception and interaction with the physical world as software challenges involved in reaching that goal. Those are development objectives, rather than evidence that the Paris exhibit will demonstrate every capability described.
Cars, energy and supervised driving remain on the program
The rest of the stand keeps the company's existing automotive and energy products in view. Alongside the two passenger models, the program includes Tesla Energy solutions for household electricity management and home vehicle charging, plus a Supercharger unit.
Free demonstrations of Full Self-Driving (Supervised) are also planned during the week. The supervised driving sessions are listed separately from the Cybercab exhibit; the announcement does not present them as a Paris robotaxi service launch.
Press, sales, technical and certified used-vehicle teams are scheduled to attend and answer visitors' questions about the company's products. The event offers a public showcase of its broader ambitions while retaining the cars, charging equipment and customer services already central to its business.
